Research is collaborative – and the Harvard Research Support site extends that collaborative spirit in bringing together Harvard faculty, researchers, and those who work with them to discover the breadth of resources and services from across the University in one central place. Showcasing information on this site has also been a collaborative effort, including the Office of Vice Provost for Research, Harvard Library, and Harvard University Information Technology (HUIT), as well as input from research support groups from schools, centers, and institutes across the University.
Information on this site is organized through the phases of the research lifecycle (planning, active research, and dissemination and preservation) as well as by service type (research administration and compliance, research data management and scholarship, and research computing). This information is intended for use in research support for all disciplines, qualitative and quantitative research, small and very large projects. Each service offering description presented here is linked to additional information from its original source and service provider.
The creation of this new resource helps to standardize and compare service offerings across the University, and identify what can be improved or what is missing. The site will be updated on a regular basis with new information as services are enhanced. Our goal is to provide excellence in research support and continuously improve discovery and knowledge across the Harvard community.
