The University has established a number of useful resources to support animal research. The Institutional Animal Care and Use Committees (IACUCs) also covering the Longwood and University Area campuses review certain projects involving animal subjects research. In support of their charges to protect the safety and welfare of animals, each office has systematized management of the reviews, and created guidance and information pertaining to the processes and procedures in their purview. These two offices each use a different system.
