Software & Platforms

Access to software, research tools, and online platforms for data analysis and data visualization.

Eligibility information is outlined below based on providers with offerings that are available to the entire Harvard community or a specific unit/appointment.

University-wide

Center for Geographic Analysis

Geospatial software and data offerings include site licenses for ArcGIS suite, ERDAS Imagine, TerrSet, ENVI, Trimble, FME, BlueMarble and other products. We also recommend some open source Geographic Information System (GIS) products, and make available a variety of tools and code samples that were developed by CGA.

Most licenses are served out as concurrent licenses from CGA managed license servers available to computers on the Harvard LAN or VPN. Some also have single use licenses or online organizational licenses available via HarvardKey login.
